A man was taken to hospital after suffering a slash wound to his ear in Sheffield.

Police were called by Yorkshire Ambulance Service at 7.11pm on Friday (June 14) to reports of a stabbing on a car park outside the Sheffield Trades & Labour Club, Duke Street.

It is reported that the victim, who is in his 40s, was assaulted before suffering the wound to his ear.

He was taken to hospital after the incident.

His injuries are not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
