Sheffield Wednesday have used their loan market this summer to bolster their squad.
Over the years, this has been an area of the transfer market where they have had success, and those currently at Hillsborough will be hoping for similar experiences.
Many of those featured here are remembered fondly and will always be welcome back at S6.
Wednesdayites will have their own favorites but here’s who we picked out as having made their mark. Tell us who you think we should have included in the comments section on our social media channels.

1. Scott Carson
Signed on loan from Liverpool in the latter part of the 2005/2006 Championship season. The then 20-year-old kept five clean sheets in nine appearances, playing a pivotal role in helping Wednesday avoid relegation back to League One. 2. Harry Amass
The Manchester United left-back, just 18 at the time, performed admirably for Wednesday in a dire situation last season. He only spent the first-half of the campaign at Hillsborough but he made a big impression and his whole-hearted performances will always be appreciated. | Getty Images

3. Danny Batth
The centre-back, 20, was a rock in Wednesday's 2012 promotion season from League One, playing 44 out of 46 league games, after joining on loan from Wolves. Gone on to have a solid career in the EFL. | Getty Images

4. Mark McGuinness
The towering centre-back is not hugely rated by those in red and white across the city but he was a man-mountain for Wednesday in the first-half of the 2022/2023 season. His performances earned him a recall by parent club Cardiff City which came as a huge blow at the time. | Getty Images
