You see many things out of the window when travelling by train – but rail passengers heading into Sheffield might have spotted a rather bizarre sight these last few days.
And that’s because a load of garden gnomes have been plonked alongside the tracks heading into Sheffield railway station.
Nothing too odd about that you may think. But the gnomes have been positioned on equipment boxes at the bottom of the huge stone walls that greet travellers coming into Sheffield from Doncaster, Rotherhamd and Meadowhall.
