Postcode Lottery round-up as two more South Yorkshire postcodes bag big cash prizes
The latest winners from this month’s Postcode Lottery have been announced
Two South Yorkshire streets tasted the sweet feeling of success this week after their doors were in the draw of the Postcode Lottery.
The postcode S62 5EW became the first street in South Yorkshire to get some fortune this month. On Sunday July 12, the residents based on Brunt Road in Rawmarsh, Rotherham became £1,000 richer.
That success was soon followed by S72 8WB two days later, with the residents at High Gate Way in Shafton, Barnsley also bagging a £1,000 cash prize.

So far, as many as two postcodes in South Yorkshire have bagged prizes in the Postcode Lottery. However, we’re still waiting for a Sheffield address to get some fortune this month.
In fact, it’s now 24 days since the Steel City had a winner, with the last lucky winners coming on Tuesday June 23 when S5 7AX on Herries Road, within the Firth Park ward became a £1,000 richer.
June marked a fairly fortunate month for Sheffield as a combined total of four streets got to taste the feeling of success. This is slightly lower than May, however, when six postcodes were drawn out in a real hot streak for the area.
Although they weren’t quite as lucky as one lucky resident on Mill Lane in Old Tupton, Chesterfield, who struck the jackpot by winning an incredible £333,333.
Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based lottery which raises money for charities. Not only do players win cash prizes, but good causes also receive essential support.
Your postcode works as your ticket. For £12.50 a month you’re entered into every prize draw and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws.
Prizes include the weekly Millionaire Street prize and monthly £250,000 or Postcode Millions prizes. If your postcode gets picked in the £250,000 prize, for example, every ticket in that postcode wins £250,000. Every day, there are £1,000 prizes to be won for every ticket in 20 postcodes. If you play with two tickets, you receive double the winning prize amount.
Players have raised more than £1.8 billion for thousands of good causes in Britain and internationally, funding charities including Maggie's, Alzheimer’s Society, Dogs Trust, Mind, NSPCC and many others, as well as thousands of small local community projects.
