Four kebab restaurants and takeaways in Sheffield are vying to be named Britain’s best after making the latter stages of a prestigious competition.

The semi-finalists in the British Kebab Awards 2021 have been announced, with diners across the country now being invited to vote for their favourites.

There are 18 different honours up for grabs at the awards ceremony, which is due to be held in London on October 26.

In Sheffield, Efes Restaurant, on Glossop Road in Broomhall, is up for the ‘best value’ gong.

Chubbys, on Cambridge Street, in Sheffield city centre; and Jimmy’s Kitchen, on Glossop Road, in Broomhall, are both in the running for the ‘customer satisfaction’ award.

Enver Taskin, of Enver's Cafe & Grill, on Handsworth Road, is up for ‘chef of the year’.

Best Meat (UK) Ltd, on Houghton Road, in North Anston, meanwhile, is among the firms competing to be crowned ‘best supplier’.
