Erick Alonso, who was on board as one of Chansiri’s advisors not too long ago, is thought to have submitted a bid for the Championship outfit as he sought to purchase it from the current owner with the backing of an Indonesian consortium.
The Star understands that reports from Sky Sports that an offer in the region of £30m has indeed been made, but that it is not even close to being an amount that the chairman would consider selling for.

Star sources suggest that it would take an offer of substantially more than £30m for the chairman to even consider selling up, especially given the money that he has spent on the club over his spell in charge.
It remains to be seen whether Alonso – the owner of WBD Sports – will look to come back with another improved offer, but there is no evidence that Chansiri would consider a sale at all at this point in time.
Alonso may well look elsewhere if he still remains keen on stepping into English football for the first time, with Wednesday seemingly off the table for him.
