Sheffield Wednesday’s man of the minute after a stellar last few weeks, 19-year-old Shaw is out of contract at the end of the season and is attracting inevitable interest.
The Star understands that Celtic are interested in taking the youngster north of the border. While Shaw is a lifelong Wednesdayite and negotiations over a new deal at Hillsborough are very much ongoing, it is unwelcome news for the Owls, who see the versatile starlet as one of their brightest prospects.
Wednesday hope to secure a deal to tie Shaw down as soon as possible.
Josh Murphy
It’s a name that has been linked with Wednesday for a little while now. And they face a scrap for his services, according to reports.

Hide AdWinger Josh Murphy, brother of last season’s loanee Jacob, has been out of favour at Cardiff City and Wednesday are believed to have been in touch with the Bluebirds over a loan deal.
The issue is two-fold in that fellow relegation battlers Nottingham Forest and Derby County are also keen – and there’s the fact that Cardiff have had a managerial change, with Mick McCarthy having stepped into Neil Harris’ shoes. Harris had intimated that Murphy would be allowed to move on.
Harry Pickering
It has been reported that Sheffield Wednesday have launched a bid for the highly-rated Crewe left-back.
The Owls are not believed to be the front-runners for his signature, with Blackburn Rovers also in the race to sign him.

Alex Hunt
The Star reported this morning that at least one League One club has shown an interest in taking Wednesday youngster Alex Hunt on loan, with the Owls apparently open to a deal that would allow him more first team minutes and accelerate the midfielder’s progression.
The addition of Sam Hutchinson has made an already congested area of the squad even more crowded and the talented but inexperienced Hunt would likely continue to see his opportunities at Hillsborough limited as the season goes on.
Sam Cosgrove
The Aberdeen striker is attracting interest once again, having turned down a reported £2.7m move to French side Guingamp in the summer.

Any others?
Wednesday’s search for a striker goes on and it is known that a left-back is also a position they would like to strengthen. It is expected the Owls will do further business in at least one of these areas and that they are working mainly, but not exclusively, in the loan market.
Reported interest in Jordan Rhodes and Matt Penney earlier in the window appears to have fallen flat for now, while there is a suggestion that some of Wednesday’s younger players could be given the opportunity to head out on loan.
