Bannan is one of the longest-serving players at Wednesday at present, and was recently handed the captain’s armband by previous manager, Garry Monk.
Now, under Tony Pulis, ‘Baz’ continues to play a pivotal role at the heart of the Owls midfield, but faces an uncertain future with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Pulis has spoke very highly of Bannan since his arrival, consistently commenting on the Scot’s quality and ability, and it’s been made abundantly clear that the new manager is in agreement in terms of wanting new faces to be brought in when the transfer window opens up.
The Owls find themselves on a tough run of form at present, and a new deal for Bannan – who is one of several senior players out of contract in June – could be a welcome boost for the side as they seek to turn things around and climb up the table.
Wednesday face Barnsley this evening in a big South Yorkshire derby as Pulis looks to finally pick up his first win since joining the club.
