“There were only approaches from third parties,” Caixinha said when asked of links with the Hillsborough hotseat.
“This situation is somewhat similar to that of Vasco da Gama.

Caixinha previously worked with Owls loanee Josh Windass and despite a turbulent time in Scotland, developed a good relationship with the midfielder.
“Josh is a nice boy and a very good player, with huge potential,” he said in August 2017. “We just need to work with him on the mental side in order for him to have more self-confidence and to believe more in himself.”
