John Bostock was snapped up by Moore whilst at Rovers back in January, with the midfielder being seen as a promising signing on the back of a loan spell at Nottingham Forest in the Championship – he was brought in as a free agent after terminating his contract with Toulouse.

Unfortunately for the 29-year-old, though, he didn’t get too long working with Moore in Doncaster, with Wednesday bringing him to Hillsborough not long after he’d put pen to paper.

Bostock would be no stranger to Hillsborough having spent a loan period in S6 back in the 2011/12 promotion season when he played four games for the Owls whilst on loan from Spurs, and it’s thought that Rovers would be open to the idea of letting him leave.

The midfielder does still have one year left on his current deal at the Keepmoat Stadium, however with Richie Wellens looking to stamp his mark on the team it’s thought that he may be available if an agreement can be reached.

As things stand Wednesday are still under embargo and are dealing with sorting out the issue of unpaid wages at the club, two things that are certainly affecting their ability to sign players at present, however they’re working hard to try and rectify these matters as soon as possible.

Bostock played just six games for Moore before he departed for Hillsborough earlier this year, but with the Owls boss known to be on the lookout for a new central midfielder then it could be that there’s an opportunity to work together in South Yorkshire once again in the not-so-distant future.

Wednesday are due back at Middlewood Road tomorrow.
