How come the football is on Amazon?
Sky Sports and BT Sport bought up the rights to 160 Premier League matches for around £4.5 billion. Amazon bought up some of the remaining games, the first round of which included Sheffield United’s defeat to Newcastle United.
The rights included that round of midweek games, and also another round of games on Boxing Day.
In a statement after purchasing, Amazon said: "This will be the first time a full round of Premier League fixtures will be broadcast live in the UK."
