Sheffield United signed off their 2020/21 pre-season programme with a 2-2 draw with Preston North End at Bramall Lane.

United twice led in the game but were pegged back by the last touch of the game, when Jayden Stockley rose highest to head home a corner and earn his side a draw.

This is what Blades fans on Twitter made of the game.

@CallumHobson__: For the people who are for some reason angry... It was pre season and half the team was missing

@MiserableBlader: Disappointed not to win but in a sick fans sort of way relieved we have not kept a clean sheet. Great believer in the law of averages. To me four clean sheets in pre-season pointed to four goals for #Wolves in the first game! Well it happened at @TheGillsFC first day

@utd109: Better to get 1 point than 0 points from the game.

@RichardjsS14: Decent game, to say it was a pre-season. Fully committed.

@_joshchapman98: Disappointing goal to concede that. Looked like Foderingham was impeded but got to mark players better than that. Slightly sour way to end what’s been a decent pre-season.

@DemBladesDavid: This game has had a feel of a cup quarter final - I even feel a bit disappointed! Very competitive to say it's a friendly. The intensity should only help fitness levels

@glavey: Kean Bryan been weirdly good in this match. Osborn MOTM for me

@KopFinest: Lunny cracked a smile after scoring today, a different reaction to his goal at Southampton. Hmmmm...
