BRIGHTON have signed 30-year-old defender Colin Hawkins, who ended last season on loan at Chesterfield from Coventry City.
Hawkins, a four times League of Ireland winner, will rejoin one of his former City managers, Mickey Adams, at the Withdean Stadium.

The Irishman was touted as a possible summer signing for Lee Richardson but the capture of ex-Blade Robert Page negated the need for a player of Hawkins' style.

Meanwhile, fans have until lunchtime tomorrow to snap up season tickets at the same price as last season. The club shop is open until 7pm tonight and noon on Saturday.

Finance director Alan Walters said: "Purchasing a season ticket continues to offer substantial savings over matchday prices but there's extra value for fans this year.

"Now the planning application for the new stadium is with Chesterfield Borough Council we can confirm that existing season ticket holders will have priority in selecting their seats in the stadium."
