THE future of striker Chesterfield's Bruce Dyer is still uncertain.
The 33-year-old former Barnsley, Blades, Doncaster and Rotherham player ended last season at Saltergate on a short term deal after being released by Sean O'Driscoll's Rovers.
He made three sub appearances for the Spireites totalling just over an hour of pitch time.

Manager Lee Richardson hasn't offered a deal to the man who cost Crystal Palace over £1m back in 1994 when he moved from Watford, although it's believed that he will be more than welcome to join in with pre-season training at Chesterfield if he fails to find himself any contract this summer.

Should an offer come from Chesterfield, it looks to be dependent on how he performs during July.

Spireites are sixth favourites for the 2008-09 League Two title according to Bet365.

Early indications see the Saltergate side rated at 12-1 for the title behind favourites Gillingham (9-1), Darlington, Wycombe and Bournemouth (all 10-1) and 11-1 rated Bradford City. The Millers are rated at 16-1.

Dagenham and Redbridge and Accrington Stanley are 50-1 outsiders.
