PLAYTIME will be a lot more fun at a South Yorkshire school - thanks to a grant from a bank.
West Melton Primary in Rotherham received £4,000 as part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Supergrounds scheme which aims to improve play facilities at hundreds of schools across the UK. Pupils joined staff, parents and RBS representatives for the official launch of the new playground which even includes a stage.
Teacher Emma Dalby said: "The children are really looking forward to getting out and experiencing their new playground.
"The improvements funded by RBS Supergrounds will allow the children to learn while they play.
"We are extremely grateful to RBS for the support and commitment they've shown to the school from the start to finish of this project."
Paula Flanagan, Regional Manager for RBS, said: "As a parent, I know what a difference a great playground can make to the lives of the children and I'm really proud that we have helped turn the school's dream into a reality."
