Hour-by-hour weather forecast: Storm Christoph to batter Sheffield with heavy rain

The Met Office has on Monday sounded an amber weather warning for the city, which is valid from 6am on Tuesday through midday on Thursday.
In a statement, the forecasters said the Storm Christoph will bring multiple hazards to the UK this week, which started off with heavy rain that will lead to flooding in some areas.

Hide AdThe amber warning for rain was issued for parts of northern, central and eastern England while separate yellow warnings for rain cover Northern Ireland, Wales, southern Scotland and the rest of England.
The day will start off cloudy for Sheffield as outbreaks of rain are expected throughout the day and becoming more persistent, as maximum temperature reaches 10°C.
Meanwhile, persistent and at times heavy rain will continue throughout the night, with a minimum temperature of 8°C.
The Met Office has warned the people that the amounts of rainfall along with snow melt present a real threat of flooding.

Hide AdFlood alerts have been also been issued for the city as the storm threatens to wreak havoc in parts of the country over the next few days.
