Huge queues have become an all too familiar sight in recent weeks outside the tip with Sheffield Council even issuing fines to stop people parking on the road.
Officers have been on duty at the Blackstock Road tip in Gleadless Valley to issue £70 on the spot fines to drivers who have refused to move on.

Stagecoach Yorkshire said that buses had to be diverted due to the huge congestion on the road and First South Yorkshire said their number 11 service was diverting down Gleadless Road.
Although the road is now passable, many residents and motorists have warned that the mammoth queues could cause a serious accident.
Earlier this month, Sheffield Council put the lengthy waits down to a combination of increased usage and the impact of measures put in place to ensure social distancing and protect staff.

The council said that some staff at the tip have been subjected to physical threats and verbal abuse and warned the site would close if this continued.
