Two lanes of the M1 motorway near Sheffield are closed this morning following a crash by the busy Catcliffe Roundabout.

Delays of 20 minutes and increasing, with traffic moving at an average speed of 5mph, have been reported on the northbound carriageway. It is believed a single car crashed in lane one at around 6.50am today (November 24).

The Catcliffe Roundabout, at J33, is one of the busiest interchanges in Sheffield and one of the major routes for commuters and haulage companies in Sheffield to access the motorway.

South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for a comment.
