Sheffield Wednesday: Dejphon Chansiri urges fans to get behind Owls
The frustration is growing after another sluggish start to a season and things came to a head in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Derby County.
Fighting broke out between Owls supporters at Pride Park. It was an ugly, unsavoury incident.

Speaking at the Supporters Steering Group meeting on Wednesday night, Chansiri has called on the fans to keep turning out in their numbers as the club look to reignite their promotion charge.
The Thai businessman has challenged supporters to get behind the team like they did in the 2015/16 season when the club defied the odds to reach the Championship Play-Off Final.
“The fans were together in the first year,” he said. “I understand they expect more now after we got to Wembley.
“I expect the top two every year since I’ve been here.

“We win and lose as a team. Whatever happens at this club is 100 per cent my responsibility.”
As Chansiri was quick to point out, things can change very quickly in football.
Chansiri said: “Our team and everyone works hard. We try.
“I always tell the players to do their best and play with their heart. I only question them if they don’t give 100 per cent.

“We need to make them feel good, not down. I want the fans to help and support the team.”
