“I’ve had some good meetings there in the past. I scored a maximum there once so I’m really pleased to have Sheffield as my home track for 2017.
“The management have always impressed me too. I like their ambition and their plans for the future and I’m pleased to be a part of it.
“The fans have always been good there, too. They are just an all-round good club and I’m looking forward to getting started with them.”

Hide AdBjerre, younger brother of former Grand Prix star Kenneth, has also admitted he would love a place in the newly branded Premiership – the top flight.
“I’d like to ride in two leagues in the UK,” he said. “But I appreciated it’s not always easy, it’s hard to get a team place in the top league over there.
“I just want to be busy and now I have my place with Sheffield finalised I can work on other contracts, so if I get a chance in the old Elite League in England that would be a real bonus for me.
It’s going to be an exciting season and an important one for me, I really want to kick on and take my career to the next level.”

Hide AdSheffield have already confirmed they are hoping to include teenage sensation Jack Parkinson-Blackburn on a two-point average at reserve.
They are also planning talks with Josh Bates, the nephew of club co-promoter Damien, who remains a firm favourite with the Owlerton faithful.
Bates has admitted more fresh faces are lined-up to join the club and talks are ongoing as clubs race to complete their line-ups quicker than ever with the new season still four months away.
