Sheffield council issues advice over surface water on city's roads
Council workers spent the night clearing flooded roads across Sheffield after torrential downpours left many under water.
A council spokesman said: "Please drive with care this morning as many roads have standing surface water on them."

Hide AdThis morning, Limb Lane in Dore; Ecclesfield Road at Woolley Wood Road; part of Sheffield Road, Tinsley and Newman Road, Wincobank in Sheffield are blocked because of flooding.
The council has cleared a number of roads including Deerlands Avenue, Parson Cross; Fife Street, Wincobank; Twentywell Road, Bradway; Earl Marshall Road, Fir Vale and Manchester Road, Crosspool.
Hicks Street in Neepsend; the junction of Owler Lane and Upwell Street, Fir Vale; Napier Street at the junction with Cemetery Road, Sharrow; Bocking Lane, Beauchief and Popple Street, Page Hall were also cleared overnight.
