Review decision on Mount Pleasant
They decided to ignore the fabulous, vibrant, community-oriented, employment-driven and fully-funded bid made by Avenues To Zero (Jonny Douglas and Pennie Raven) and multiple other financial, legal, construction industry players and numerous community representatives in favour of a commercially-driven, care home proposal.
Like others, I suggest they must make public their reasons for this planning decision. If they do not, I feel sure formal requests via FOI will succeed.

Hide AdI think the council needs to be clear that this decision runs counter to Sheffield’s interests overall.
Jonny and Penny, while currently totally rooted in Sheffield (and drivers of ground-breaking Sheffield Soup), are community-driven achievers who will deliver their Avenues-to-Zero project, as and when they find a friendly environment. This might not be in Sheffield, which would be a great loss.
I urged them to at least review their planning decison regarding Mount Pleasant.
