Police flooded a South Yorkshire housing estate after the discovery of a man’s body.

South Yorkshire Police were called by the ambulance service at 9.35am today after the body of a man was discovered on Leverick Drive, Rawmarsh in Rotherham.

Eye witnesses reported heavy police activity at the scene throughout the morning with a number of emergency service vehicles in attendance.

A police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
