Sheffield pizza takeaway issues reopening date after huge fire broke out next door

The owner of family-run business Milan's Pizza in Heeley, Tariq Mahamood said their shop was not at all affected by the fire.
"The fire had nothing to do with the shop at all. We don't know anything that had caused the fire and they (the authorities) are still investigating," he said.

Hide Ad"At no point we were notified (that our shop was on fire) and all we did was give our keys to the fire service so they could access the premises and look for anyone living in here."
He said although the shop could go back to business, he couldn't help but feel sorry for the owner of the next-door shop, who reportedly remains in a serious condition.
Emergency services were called to Chesterfield Road after a fire broke out in a row of shops on Sunday morning (February 7).
One casualty was rushed to the hospital following the incident.

Hide AdThe fire service said the fire is thought to have started at a row of shops which also has residential flats above.
The blaze involved a terraced building with Milan's pizza takeaway shop on the ground floor and flats above.
The incident had forced the road to be taped off as the emergency services dealt with the fire.
During a visit to the scene by The Star on Monday evening, the fire service and the police were seen assessing the damaged building as part of their ongoing investigation.
