Fundraiser launched for NHS staff treating popular Sheffield singer-songwriter battling coronavirus

Graham Rodgers, who performs with popular Sheffield band Calico Fever, has been undergoing treatment for Covid-19 at the city’s Northern General and Royal Hallamshire hospitals since the end of March.
Marie Rathe has now set up this JustGiving page which has so far raised more than £1,100 to support Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Hide AdOn the page, Marie said: “He (Graham) has been looked after by the amazing NHS staff at both hospitals, and continues to receive exemplary care.
“Graham is kind and caring and would do anything to help others.
“He is loved by all who know him.
“As a tribute to the outstanding care he is receiving, we would like to raise funds to further support the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.”
Marie added: “Many people may know Graham as a talented singer-songwriter, both as an independent artist and as the vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the popular Sheffield band Calico Fever.

A total of 195 hospital patients in Sheffield have now died after contracting Covid-19.
There have been a total of 1,928 confirmed cases so far.
