Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent opens up on ‘scary’ birth of new baby with Sheffield United star Kean Bryan

The 28-year-old star announced the news to her Instagram followers in May, writing that she was “besotted”.
She revealed the baby boy, named Monroe, had been born on Tuesday, May 4 at the same time of day as his older brother.

Hide AdVincent, known for playing Sophie Webster on the ITV soap, also shares a son called Mexx with partner Kean Bryan born in October 2019.
Speaking to OK magazine, Brooke said she was rushed to hospital in labour nine hours before she was due to have a planned C-section.
Brooke said: "We got to the hospital but somebody was already in the theatre because, of course, my appointment for a section wasn’t until later," she says. "I was just hoping they could get me in as soon as possible.
She also revealed a minor scare for Monroe when he swallowed some fluid on coming out.

Hide AdBrooke told OK: “They had to take him off straight away to check him over, so I didn’t hold him for an hour. Thankfully he was okay and I finally got to hold him when I was in recovery."
The Coronation Street star told her 942,000 Instagram followers of her latest arrival with an adorable picture of Monroe’s legs.
She wrote: “On the morning of Tuesday 4th May at 8.14am; the exact same time as his big brother … our little boy came into the world.
"Monroe S J Bryan you’ve added so much love & happiness to our little family! Me, your daddy & big brother are all besotted with you.”

Hide AdThe actress has been with Sheffield United player Bryan since 2016.
He shared a photo of himself cradling the child and wrote: “Monroe S J Bryan 04/05/21” alongside a black heart emoji.
Vincent has appeared in Coronation Street since 2004 but has been on maternity leave, and over the years has also had TV stints on Dancing On Ice and Soapstar Superstar.
Fellow Corrie actress Ellie Leach, former footballer Joe Thompson and The Only Way Is Essex star Jessica Wright were among those who sent messages of congratulations.
