Micro chip your pets to avoid a fine under new law
To help local pet owners meet the April 6 deadline, the RSPCA South Yorkshire Animal Centre at Bawtry is now offering while-you-wait micro chipping with no appointment needed.
The new law aims to reduce the 100,000 dogs lost or abandoned each year in England. Apart from untold suffering to the animals, it has been revealed the rescue and rehoming of these animals costs charities and taxpayers nearly £60 million every year.
