Fernando Forestieri tells referees what he thinks...using his t-shirt
Having a go at referees in public is normally likely to get you into trouble, but frustrated Fernando Forestieri went a bit passive aggressive with his approach in the lead up to today's game with Derby County.
Having been very unfortunate to pick up bookings and red cards for simulation this season, Forestieri let his clothing do the talking, as the forward donned a t-shirt bearing a cartoon which featured a referee holding red and yellow cards and saying 'pick a card, any card'. The t-shirt was picked up by Sky TV before the live broadcast.
It was Forestieri making a subtle point, but the referee must have been watching...for the Owls leading scorer was again booked.
