A South Yorkshire man has been given a suspended prison sentence after he acted in a threatening manner towards a neighbour, damaged her possessions and carried an offensive weapon in a public place.

Stephen Hale admitted the offences at an earlier hearing in October, but returned to Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, December 18, when he was sentenced.

Records show that Hale, 57, of Carlton Road, Barnsley, committed the offences at a neighbouring property, on July 24 this year.
