Sheffield street closed by police and forensics at scene after reported shooting

A Sheffield street has been completely cordoned off with forensics spotted at the scene amid reports of another city shooting.

A police cordon is currently in place on Glen Road in Nether Edge after residents reported hearing the sound of gunfire on Wednesday evening (22 July).

A picture taken this morning shows a forensic officer at the scene wearing a hazmat suit. The Star has contacted South Yorkshire Police for comment.

There were two shooting on nearby Machon Bank and Union Street in May.
