Sheffield residents fear FOURTH shooting in two weeks after police swarm estate
and live on Freeview channel 276
Officers flooded Arbourthorne last night, with a cordon erected in the Berners Road and Villers Close area of the estate.
Residents claimed a ‘bang’ was heard at around 9.30pm and police cars, vans, detectives and scenes of crime officers arrived.

The police response was mounted just two weeks after officers dealt with three shootings at Arborthorne in the space of 30 minutes.
On Tuesday, November 19, police received reports of shots fired at an address on Errington Avenue.
Officers attended the scene and found evidence of shotgun discharge.

Hide AdEighteen minutes later police received reports of further shots fired at an address on Eastern Avenue.
When police arrived, they discovered damage to a window consistent with shotgun discharge.
At 6.48pm, there were reports of shots fired from a vehicle on Errington Way.
Minutes later a 35-year-old man attended the Northern General Hospital with a shotgun injury to his leg.

Hide AdAdditional police patrols were mounted in the wake of the shootings.
Witnesses to any of last month’s firearms incidents or anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 808 of November 19.
