Sheffield detectives 'exploring all lines of enquiry' after another shooting in Sheffield

They were called in after a gun was fired in Farish Place Heeley, last night.
Residents reported the sound of gunfire at around 10pm and officers found a parked car and road sign with bullet holes.

Hide AdWhen asked whether the shooting was linked to any other incidents, including a spate of four shootings in Sheffield last Friday, South Yorkshire Police said: “The investigation is in its very early stages and we are currently exploring all lines of enquiry.”
Last Friday four men were shot and two cars and two homes were damaged in a series of gun attacks.
A group of men were fired at in Grimesthorpe Road, Burngreave; a man was injured when a flat was fired at on Club Garden Road, Sharrow; two rival gangs opened fire at each other in Machon Bank, Nether Edge and a house was fired at on nearby Union Road.
One man has been charged with drug offences over the Machon Bank incident and another was arrested then released under investigation.

Hide AdDetectives are treating the four shootings in 24 hours as ‘targeted’ attacks linked to organised crime.
They have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Police patrols have also been stepped up for the ‘foreseeable future’ in response to the shootings.
