A man has been charged with false imprisonment after two people were allegedly detained and beaten at an address in Sheffield.

On March 23, South Yorkshire Police say they were alerted that two men, both in their 20s, were reportedly being held against their will while being verbally and physically assaulted at a property in Broomhall.

Now, Abdi Warsame, 33, of Hanover Square, Broomhall, has been charged with false imprisonment and section 18 assault following his arrest on Sunday.

A 21-year-old man who was also arrested was bailed.
