Police cordon off Sheffield road after man is stabbed

Shortly before 9pm, officers were deployed to Main Road following a report that a man had been stabbed.
The man in his twenties was taken to hospital with injuries to his chest and arms.

Hide AdPolice said the injuries are not thought to be life threatening but the victim remains in hospital for treatment.
A police cordon remains in place as enquiries continue and the road is closed in both directions.
Buses are diverted while the road is closed to traffic.
A statement from Stagecoach South Yorkshire said: “Due to a police incident in the Darnall area Service 52 will be diverted via Wilfred Road, Darnall Road, Main Road and Greenland Road towards Woodhouse and the opposite towards Hillsborough until further notice.”
