Huge funeral procession planned for Sheffield man Ricky Collins after stabbing

Ricky Collins, aged 31, died after a knife attack on Westthorpe Road, Killamarsh, in March.
He was found critically injured after police officers were deployed to reports of a disturbance at a house in the street and was taken to the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield for emergency treatment but could not be saved.
Three men have been charged in connection to Ricky’s death.

Hide AdBradley Ward, 24, from Woodthorpe, has been charged with murder and David Ward, 43, also of Woodthorpe and Martin Mongan, 44, of Pontefract, have both been charged with assisting an offender.
Today’s funeral is described by Ricky’s family as a ‘celebration of life and his final show off’.
In a message shared ahead of the funeral, which takes place at City Road Cemetery at 1.45pm today, his family said: “I understand a lot of people will want to pay their respects but this is not a party, it’s a celebration of his life but also a day of respect for Ricky and the people and things he loved.”
The funeral cortege is due to leave Seaton Place, Manor, at 12.30pm.

One, left by his cousin,Bradley Beedham, read: “My cousin, my brother, the man I looked up to as a kid.
“I love you Ricky, our family will never be the same without you.”
