An air ambulance landed after a man fell from a bridge on the Sheffield Parkway earlier today.
It is understood that a man fell from a bridge across the busy dual carriageway and has since been taken to the Northern General Hospital.
The road was closed earlier but has since re-opened.
Emergency services are also dealing with a serious collision on the M1 after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at 5.30am.
A screen has been erected while investigative work is carried out.
