Police probe into burglaries
A burglar stole a television from a house in Sheffield after getting into the property through an insecure window.

The culprit struck at Alport Place, Frecheville, yesterday.

Police officers are also investigating burglaries in Knaresborough Road, Millhouses; Carter Knowle Road, Carterknowle; Stalker Lees Road, Sharrow and Cowlishaw Road, Hunters Bar.

A probe is also underway into break-ins of two sheds on the Baslow Road allotments in Totley.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
