Affordable homes will occupy former pub site in Dinnington
The Lordens Hotel in Doe Royd Lane, Dinnington, had been empty for some time before the building was demolished, leaving a rubble-strewn site.
Now Rotherham Council's planning board has given approval for it to be redeveloped with an estate of 15 new homes.

Coun John Williams praised the agreement, saying that securing the whole project for affordable housing was a 'progressive development'.
Access to the estate will be from a new road leading from Doe Royd Lane and councillors were told that should be adoptable by the council, with a turning head to allow refuse lorries and other large vehicles access to the homes set back from the road.
Coun Jennifer Whysall told the planning board: 'This can only be seen as advantage.'
