IF you see smoke bellowing from Sheffield's tallest building tomorrow - don't panic, it's only an exercise.
South Yorkshire firefighters will be joined by university staff to stage a dramatic fire scenario in the 21-storey Arts Tower from 10.30am.

Smoke generators will be used to simulate the fire on an upper floor and firefighters will use search and rescue techniques following reports that people are trapped inside the building.

Station manager Eddie O'Neill, leading the exercise, said: "This is an excellent opportunity not just to test our response procedures but also strengthen our links with the university.

"This exercise is part of an ongoing plan to continuously improve our responses to incidents, and also prevent them from happening in the first place."
