Man charged with attempted murder after 14-year-old stabbed in Sheffield

A 48-year-old man was arrested on Friday and charged the following day.

A 48-year-old man man has been charged with attempted murder after a teenage boy was stabbed in Sheffield City Centre.

John Jubb, of Wincobank Avenue, was arrested on Friday, September 15, and charged the following day.

Police were called to Norfolk Street on Tuesday afternoon, September 12, and the 14-year-old was taken to hospital with chest wounds.

It is believed the incident happened by the Town Hall.

His injuries are serious but not believed to be life-threatening.

Jubb remains in custody and will appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Monday, September 18.
