WHILE sympathising with resdidents of Oughtibridge ('Residents' Fury' June 26), I'd like to give some perspective.
Street lights broken for months (great for star gazers); crumbling road surfaces (act as speed bumps); leaves left to compost on pavements/curb edges (good for worms); 25-year-old buses on route No 30 (for lovers of nostalgia); grass verges almost a
foot high this year (lovely moonpennies and buttercups).
To the point: the grass is always greener on the other side. Having lived in both sides of the city, I should know!
