This summer Rotherham schools are distributing free swim passes to our year 7 to year 11 children to allow them to swim for free twice a week in eight Rotherham swimming pools, up to August 31.
Can I applaud our Rotherham Primary Care Trust, Rotherham Council's Children and Young People's Services, and Culture and Leisure Services for their foresight in working together to encourage our young people to swim in a safe environment?.

We al
l dread seeing stories of young people getting into trouble when swimming in unsafe outdoor lakes, reservoirs, canals and rivers on hot summer days.
