From the messages of support painted by children to the deafening round of applause echoing around streets up and down the region every Thursday, there are lots of ways to show your gratitude.
But this painstakingly sculpted hedge is a new one on us.
Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust shared the photo which was snapped by one of its staff in a village south of Doncaster.

“It is gestures like this that really give everyone a boost and remind us all why the NHS is so special.
“We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been in touch and passed on their best wishes, whether that's by donating flowers or food to staff, to showing their support with rainbows or gestures like this. It really is valued by everyone."
Not wanting to miss out on the chance for a good pun, they added: “We reckon there's more out there, but we're hedging our bets. Sheariously though, we'd love to see any other examples of things like this!”
Of course, the best way to show your appreciation is by staying at home to save lives and make their job easier.
