While people with underlying health conditions and those aged 60 and over are more susceptible to contracting coronavirus, it is important to remember that anyone – young or old – can develop mild or severe Covid-19 symptoms.
Symptoms of the virus are likely to appear between two and 14 days after the person was first exposed to the disease, according to Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Hide AdThe CDC has now listed a runny nose or congestion, nausea and diarrhoea as new symptoms. Vomiting is already a symptom on the list.
You may experience a high fever or chills if you have contracted Covid-19 as well as a new, continuous cough and shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
While people who have tested positive for the virus experience a wide range of symptoms, many have reported extreme tiredness and fatigue alongside muscle or body aches.
Others have also experienced headaches, a sore throat and a new loss of taste or smell.

Hide AdThe CDC has compiled a list of emergency warning signs for coronavirus that requires the patient to seek medical care immediately.
If you are having trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest then you should call 999.
Alternatively, if you are experiencing confusion, finding it difficult to stay awake and have bluish lips or face then you could require emergency care.
