Location of all 118 weekly coronavirus cases in South Yorkshire as Sheffield drops below 30
Across South Yorkshire, there were a total of 118 new cases confirmed between yesterday, Thursday, June 25 and the previous Thursday.

There were 29 new cases in Sheffield, taking the total there to 2,668; 22 in Doncaster, where the tally now stands at 933; 42 in Barnsley, taking the total there to 1,083; and 25 in Rotherham, where there have now been 1,071 confirmed cases.

Hide AdThe number of new cases confirmed in Sheffield was down from 53 in Sheffield the previous week and 131 across South Yorkshire.
The total number of confirmed cases in South Yorkshire now stands at 5,755.
Across the UK, 307,980 people have now tested positive for COVID-19 and 43,230 people are known to have died.
In Sheffield, no new COVID-19 hospital deaths have been recorded for a week, with 284 patients having died in total.

Hide AdDespite the falling numbers, Sheffield’s public health director Greg Fell has warned that the decline in the number of people in England testing positive has ‘levelled off’ in recent weeks.
He also pointed out that according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics, one in 1,100 people within the community had the virus at any given time between June 8 and June 21, during which there were an estimated 22,000 new cases per week.
