GRUB up! The High Sheriff of South Yorkshire donned an apron to dish up breakfast to homeless people.
High Sheriff Giles Bloomer and his wife Liz helped serve breakfast to some of the 100 homeless and vulnerable people helped daily by the Cathedral Archer Project.

The project helps people who are sleeping rough, using hostels, camping on friends' floors and sofas or squatting by providing hot meals, occupational and health groups as well as medical services.

What do you think? Post your comment below.

Giles and Liz were up bright and early to hand out breakfast alongside cook Maggie Durrand and said they were humbled by the experience.

The High Sheriff said: "It was a real eye-opener to realise just how important and necessary the help that CAP provides is in the UK's fourth largest city.

"They do sterling work and really do deserve the fullest support."

Project fundraising manager Tracy Viner said: "We are constantly looking for funds, donations of food and clothing as well as volunteers to support our work.

"Hopefully the High Sheriff will now be able to talk about the work that we do to people that he will meet during his year of office."
