WHISPER it quietly around Hillsborough and Bramall Lane ... but when it comes to football rivalry, Sheffield is hardly top of the league.
According to new survey, Wednesdayites and United fans get on like a house on fire compared to some sets of fans.

In fact the 'Football Rivalries Report 2008', produced by The New Football Pools, owners of Littlewoods, claims the two Sheffield clu
bs figure only sixth when it comes to rivalry.

FANZONE SPECIAL: What do you think? Is the rivalry between the two groups of fans as intense as in other places? Post your comment below.

And it may surprise you that football's biggest rivalry is not in the Premiership but between West Brom and Wolves.

The Black Country clubs are then followed by the 'Old Farm' pairing of Ipswich and Norwich, the survey of 6,000 supporters revealed.

Manchester Utd see Liverpool as their main rival rather than Man City while Arsenal fans see Man Utd as their top rival. The survey said the top 10 biggest rivalries were:

West Brom and Wolves; Norwich City and Ipswich Town; Liverpool and Manchester United; Portsmouth and Southampton; Cardiff City and Swansea City; Aston Villa and Birmingham City; Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednes-day; Bristol City and Bristol Rovers; Newcastle United and Sunderland; Brighton and Hove Albion and Crystal Palace.
