Thieves take rail cables

THIEVES caused disruption to rail services between Mexborough and Sheffield this morning.
Trains were unable to operate earlier today because of the theft of 20 yards of cables which stopped signals from working properly.

British Transport Police are investigating.

Network Rail recommended passengers called National Rail Enquiries before making their journeys.
