FIREFIGHTERS were called out to Stainforth when a pensioner's microwaveable hot water bottle caught fire.
The woman was heating the item inside the microwave oven at her home on Polton Close when it went up in flames at around 9pm last night.

The fire had stopped by the time a crew from Thorne Fire Station arrived but officers stayed to help get the smoke out of the house and reassure the householder.
