BYGONE eras will be remembered when an annual family history day is staged in Doncaster.
Doncaster and District Family History Society has a string of guest speakers planned for the event.

First speaker will be Gerry Burrows who will start with a light-hearted look at kitchens and other household duties through the ages, from Roman ti
mes to more recent days when a tin bath in front of the fire was commonplace.

An expert from the War Graves Commission is also due to show a film and hold a question and answer session.

The final speaker will Alan Hemsworth, who will try to explain nursery rhymes which people learn as children.

The event is on Saturday October 25 at Danum School, Armthorpe, and admission £7.50. Call 01302 782685 to reserve a place.
